I Rebuilt the Whole Site. Come Have a Look.

Better chat, video calls, classifieds, and a lot more to play with.

After fifteen years, it was time to rebuild.

Your account is still yours. Your photos, friends, messages, forum posts and check-in history came with you. Your password still works.

There’s a lot to show you, but I’ll spare you the technical stuff. Here’s what you can actually do.

Make chat your own

The rooms are back, with live cameras, audio, photos, GIFs and reactions.

Click a camera to open it full size. See who’s watching yours. Find people who are on camera, nearby, or viewing you without digging through the whole room.

And you can make chat look and sound how you like. Ten themes, including Terminal, Comic, Sticky Notes and Retro IM. Change your fonts, colours, sounds and camera sizes. Move the camera dock to either side. Keep it colourful or keep it simple.

If your camera won’t start, there’s help that tells you what to click.

Call someone you actually want to talk to

Private messages now have audio and video calls built in.

You can also send photos, videos and GIFs, reply to a specific message, and edit something you sent. Open your inbox as a full page or keep a little message window open while you browse.

Want a quieter inbox? Choose whether messages can come from everyone, friends only, or nobody.

Give everyone their own profile

Couples no longer have to cram two people into one description.

One account can now hold up to three individual profiles, each with its own name, details, interests and story. You still share one login, photo library and inbox.

There’s also more room to say what you’re here for: friends, dating, a relationship, something casual, or just meeting people with similar interests.

Find your people

Search by distance, age, gender, singles or couples, who’s online, who has photos, and more.

Found a search you’ll use again? Save it with a name and come back to it whenever you want.

Profiles now show aTrueTrust score, with a breakdown you can open to see membership history, verification and other details. You can also vouch for someone you know and leave a short testimonial on their profile.

A feed you have some say in

Choose Friends, For You or Global, then filter for posts, photos, blogs, events or forum discussions.

Post several photos or videos at once, mention friends, and choose who can see each post: Public, Friends or Only me.

There are twelve reactions now, including love, laugh, clap, fire and, yes, dislike.

And if you wander off halfway through writing something, your draft stays put.

Finally, organise those photos

Your photo library has folders, search and bulk selection. Move a bunch of photos at once, change who can see them, crop, rotate, add captions, or pick a new profile picture.

You can add your own watermark to future uploads and choose whether the Download button appears for other members.

Private folders have access requests, so you can decide who gets in and revoke access later.

You can also upload directly to the main gallery.

Classifieds are here

Sell something, offer a service, find a ride, look for housing, or post a personal.

Browse by location, distance, keyword or price. Save a search and message a seller directly from their listing.

Browsing is open to every member. Posting is included with Gold membership and above, with no per-listing fee.

Videos have their own home

Community videos now have a proper section, with Friends and Global tabs.

Browse by topic, length or popularity. Upload your own, choose a thumbnail, and give it a title and description. Every video gets a moderator review before it goes public.

Find somewhere worth going

Places have more useful filters, photos, reviews, and separate pros and cons so you can get a quick feel for somewhere before visiting.

Check in publicly, share it with friends, or keep the visit to yourself. Your old check-in history is still there.

Been somewhere great? Add photos to its listing, even if you don’t own it. Run a venue? You can claim the page and manage its details, photos and events.

Events now have Maybe RSVPs, waitlists, guest limits, and space for what to bring and what people should know before arriving.

Groups have member lists, editable rules and optional approval before someone joins.

Somewhere to get it off your chest

Rants give you a place to vent, confess or say something you’d rather keep off your profile.

You get an anonymous handle, and conversations started from an anonymous rant stay anonymous on both sides.

Or post under your usual name. Your choice.

More control, less hassle

Settings has a lot more worth looking through.

Choose who can find you, see your online status, message you or call you. Turn off the feed categories and notifications you don’t care about. Change font sizes, use high contrast, or reduce motion.

Blocked members are easy to find and unblock. Report buttons are easier to reach. Spam messages arrive hidden, with an option to open them if you want.

I’ve also put a lot of work into catching fake accounts, scams and spam. Some will still get through, so please keep reporting them.

Right now our Shield system is reviewing a large backlog of comments, and it will be clearing out the spam over the next few days.

Take it with you

The site works much better on a phone, and there’s a native app coming soon.

To sign in to the app, openAccount → Get the appon the website and scan the QR code. No typing your password into a tiny keyboard.

If you use more than one of our sites, you can switch between them in the same app.

A few things just for fun

There are badges to earn, streaks to keep going, leaderboards, and quick quizzes with results you can share.

Your earned badges show on your profile. Your unfinished ones stay private, so nobody needs to know how close you are to your next little internet trophy.

Go poke around

Start with Settings, especially your privacy and message preferences. Then try a chat theme, save a search, organise some photos, or put something in the feed.

If something’s broken,Report a bugis on every page. Tell me what happened.

I built a lot. Now I want to see what you do with it.
