Nudist Clubs vs Nude Beaches or other Naturist Settings
Return to DiscussionsThis is one of the reasons why I prefer nude beaches or other naturist settings vs nudist clubs. At most nude beaches, a man can display a full erection without needing to hide it. One can walk along the shore or talk with others and enjoy the vulnerability that one doesn't have much control over whether or not he gets hard. It's only natural. Just enjoy it and let others see you.
It's too bad that at most nudist clubs, if a man gets an erection, he immediately needs to hide it. I understand the reasons for that, but sometimes I wish that the rules weren't so strict. There have been a number of times when I became at least semi erect while sunbathing next to my wife. I usually managed to avoid becoming fully erect, but not always. Sometimes she would subtly tease me, causing me to get hard. I would then need to turn onto my stomach to keep other people from seeing.
When we used to visit a more rural nudist club, this was less of a problem because there were fewer people and the rules were less strictly enforced. I remember one time when my wife and I were sunbathing next to a female member. Her husband was running some errands and there happened to be no one else around. I let myself get an erection and did not bother to hide it. I just continued to sunbathe naked. Neither woman said anything about my being hard. They just continued chatting as if nothing was out of the ordinary.
In contrast, hard-ons are usually more acceptable at nude beaches. There are fewer rules to contend with and, unless you're actually having sex, it's much less likely that you are going to get in trouble. Before I got married, I had a few experiences at nude beaches where I let myself have an erection in front of the ladies. There was no reason to hide it. I wanted to let them see me.
At an AANR-affiliated club, "forgetaboutit." All it takes is one "Karen" to see you with a full erection - and decide to "report" you - to be confronted about it. Semi-erections though tend to get ignored; as people can't always identify whether it's an actual erection, or just a big penis lol!
But non-AANR nudist venues often tend to be more "lax." Especially if they're "adults only." The first time I actually saw a guy socializing while fully erect was at a non-AANR "adults/couple only" BnB. And no one - including my wife - took offense to it. My wife actually appreciated the "lax" atmosphere; where, for the first time, she felt comfortable tanning with her legs wide open. She also quite enjoyed posing nude, as photography was also allowed. None of these things would "fly" at an AANR resort.
It's definitely more fun when you don't have to worry about "the rules", and you can let yourself be free without worrying about what people might think.

You are right about the risk of a male being reported at an AANR club just for showing a full erection. But the rural nudist club that my wife and I used to visit was affiliated with the AANR and I could still get away with it depending on the circumstances. It was mostly a matter or being aware of who would see me.
Both clubs were very rustic. My wife and I would lay out on the grass to sunbathe. Sometimes there was only my wife and me and maybe one or two other people present. I remember two times when I let myself get an erection in front of another woman and didn't bother to hide it.
I wouldn't do that in front of the owner though. I could have gotten into serious trouble for that. One time while I was standing there talking with him, I got an erection when my naked wife bent down to get something out of the cooler. He saw my erection right away. He didn't look too happy.

I also agree with what you wrote about people being less inclined to make a complaint when a guy is only semi-erect. At the club that we belong to now, I have often witnessed men become semi-erect. Another reason why I prefer nude beaches or other naturist settings compared to nudist clubs is because the clubs often seem artificial in comparison. I'm talking more about the clubs that are near cities and are developed as opposed to those that are more rustic. It's nice to have a swimming pool and a clubhouse and to be able to ride around on a golf cart, but it can be a lot more fun to be naked in nature and more erotic too. I also like the anonymity. If I'm at a nude beach, I'll be much more inclined to let people see me with an erection. It's not just because there are fewer rules but also because of the anonymity. While it is not my intention to offend anyone, I do like to be seen that way. When I'm at a nude beach in front of strangers, there's seldom a need to hide an erection. Even if someone happened to be offended, they wouldn't know who I am. It seems to me that when I am at the nudist club that my wife and I belong to now, I always need to have a towel close by. No kissing either because that could be considered inappropriate.
I know what you mean. My resort is very traditional; and very busy. You can't do anything "fun" without the entire resort seeing it. The only way my wife is comfortable tanning with her legs open; or us cuddling, rubbing sunscreen all over each other (including tits and genitals), is by going to the far end of the resort. And then there's no guarantee there won't be other people there also looking for some privacy!
My experiences at smaller, rustic resorts; on weekdays with almost no one there, have definitely been more "liberated." Those were with my first wife. At one resort we had the hot-tub all to ourselves with no one around; so my wife could sit on my lap and I could play with her boobs in "all impunity." At another, we had the entire pool to ourselves; my wife and I got playful, I got an erection, and I was able to exit the pool rock hard without having to hide it. To clarify what I posted previously, the fun for me is when I allow myself to get an erection that someone else can see. For example, I did that at a rustic nudist club when a woman acquaintance was sunbathing next to my wife and me. There happened to be no one else nearby at the time. I knew that having only the one woman near us limited the risk that I would get in trouble. I was VERY erect. I don't know whether she said anything to her husband afterward about what happened. I also don't know if she was offended at all by my display. Hopefully, she was okay with it. I enjoy being an exhibitionist sometimes.
I wouldn't have been able to do that if there were people around who might complain to the owner. I also wouldn't have been able to do that if my wife and I had complete privacy (although, of course, I like showing her my erection too).
My wife and I did have an experience at the nudist club when we did have privacy. We had sex on a grassy field that was away from the main area. That was the first time we ever had sex outdoors.
