My wife and I are happily married and we have fooled around with another couple in the past.
We have done some getting naked together, the wives making out, and some same room sex (with our own partners).

Alcohol helps but don't go overboard and let them regret that they did something while grossly intoxicated.
You want them to enjoy the evening but remember the fun time.
