Return to DiscussionsSlip knots are fantastic if I want to tie myself up, especially for a photo. I set the camera and self timer then tie up everything but my hands. I set the slip knots ready. Then I push the button, put my hands through the loops, pull tight and pose, all in the 10 seconds. It takes longer to escape, especially if my hands are not close to each other.
Recently I did it by clicking two padlocks shut, one in each hand. The keys were out of reach so I had to wait for someone to set me free
My friend and I regularly visit each other. The host ties himself up and waits for the visitor to let himself in and start the action. A range of implements are put out to suggest what the visitor might do to the captive host. I find those padlocks very useful - I have absolutely no escape till I am set free. So I'm totally subject to my friend's whims.
