MASTURBATION

Who loves masturbation or self abuse.

Why is masturbation sometime referred to as "self abuse"? It is something that is fun and enjoyable, or else you would not be doing it. The word abuse conjures up the thought of something that is NOT enjoyable or maybe even painful. If that were the case, then I doubt many would participate in the activity.

RE: Self Abuse????

Well I do like to smack my cock when getting off, I would rather someone else do it but....Lay it on a table and punch it with your fist a few times, then you could truly say you were beating your meat, LOL.

I bet you won't do it more than 6 or 7 times in a row. LOL

I am still wondering why it is called self abuse, when masturbating. That is, if you are not punching your dick or something painful like that.

I still don't understand why it would be considered abuse In the first place. Any more ideas on this?

The concept is ancient and part of the shitty efforts of religion to mess with pleasure and freedom. Onan was guilty of the sin of spilling his seed (bating) which was not putting it in a woman where it could make a baby so therefore he needlessly wasted a baby (they thought men alone made babies by willing their seed to grow into one but only inside a woman and only when blessed for that purpose). The Israelites were obsessed with making enough babies to not get creamed in war by the tribes that settled and farmed before they did so it was a matter of survival to make sure as many children grew to adulthood as possible and falsely or falsely directed to think that if you bated and dropped your load on the ground you were wasting babies that would have othewise been born (because every load was to them a baby in waiting). So the act of doing this "supreme" injustice is abusive because your penis is only for lady bits and only for making babies for G-D (abusing the self because not doing what you are meant to, wasting life, wasting your manhood, abusing the gift of being a baby planting machine). Puritans who are one of the foundational pillars of US morality and ethics loved this stuff (heavy hairshirts and underwear so uncomfortable you were too miserable to have erotic feelings was big then), and into the 20th century and not unrelated, so did Mr. Kellog (of cereal fame... true story and wildly unbelievably, Corn Flakes was invented by him originally to stop masturbation in young men as he felt the diet of pig meat eggs and more pig meat in tubes (pigs or swine being of the devil since forever) was making men touch themselves... or in his mind, abuse themselves... and the public hygeine and youth young adult literature makes oblique references to wasting essence and self abuse from the early 1900s to, well, in some places the present... and it is pernicious in Catholic , Evangelical and Fundamentalist teachings as a central idea still... and even in medicine up to the 50's. as a tenet and doctrine, and lingers still with most of it tossed out in the late 70s... The use of the term abuse is deliberate. Pleasure of the self is called... abuse. Not making babies for no reason... and being self caring/self pleasuring is... abuse. The idea is you must be married to a woman to have any morallly acceptable pleasure and again ...only for making babies... not just being fornicating demons otherwise, and worse than fornication would be leaving out the lady and self fornicating... and while this stuff is obviously messed up to most here now this way, the echoes and oppression and vibes from it are deep in social structures and we have all experienced those stigmas at some level in our lives. It's fucked up all the way.

Onan's sin was failing to impregnate his late brother's wife. He had sex with her but withdrew his penis before ejaculating. It was not masturbation.
But you are right about Kellogg. There was an anti-maturbation furor in the late Victorian age. Circumcision was also thought to be an anti-maturbation tool, which is why it gained popularity in the the U.S. in the late 19th century.

Yes I understand the particular about Onan but the point is that it is wasted seed and the Bible doesn't specifically mention masturbation so the Church filed the act under Onanism in terms of what sin it was because the waste of sperm was of issue.
