Who I'd like to meet
Nudist ladies, of the female persuasion, who might have something in common with an old guy, who has been seriously clothing averse for 20+ years, and desperately needs help getting the SPF30 right in the middle of his back. (Ruby red, dorsal finger paintings seem to be a real turnoff....)
My Interests
Travel (domestic, international & extraterrestrial, if the opportunity were to present itself), sauna (the way the Finns do it, naked with lots of Lyly, 3 or 4 times a week), food (both consuming & preparing, of meat & of vegetable, running the gamut from epicurean to ethnic to "street food" to "junk food" ), reading (actual books, made of paper, of fiction, non-fiction, science fiction, speculative fiction, satire, humor, how-to, how-NOT-to & "how about THAT?"), science & technology, gardening, DIY, automotive stuff, mechanical stuff, woodworking stuff, and a bunch of other stuff that is hard to categorize (...and probably irrelevant.....)
Movies
AIRPLANE!, It's a Wonderful Life, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, It!, Blazing Saddles!, Citizen Kane, all the James Bonds, Catch Me If You Can, Trains, Planes, and Automobiles, anything with John Candy, Love Actually, White Christmas, Scrooge, My Favorite Year, Sleepless in Seattle, City Slickers, any Hitchcock movies, The Longest Day, The Great Escape, A Bridge Too Far, Bridge on the River Kwai, Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Big, The Burbs, The Sound of Music, anything with Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire, The Producers, most musicals, 2001, 1948, Men in Black, Back to the Future
Music
My musical tastes tend to be the kind that "soothes the savage beast" rather than riles him up. Jazz, American standards from the 40's to the 80's or so, some classical, some country, some ethnic, some elevator music. No rap or opera or bagpipes! But I DO love military marches!
My Heroes
Defenders of our country , whether military, criminal law enforcement, first responders or all of the countless, unseen coordinators and expediters, in the background, who support them in the execution of their missions.
