2020 Update

FYI, the blue mats are down and it looks like some of the older ones have been replaced with new and they have extended the mats an additional 150 yards or so. Made the walk much nicer. Still no alcohol allowed and the park rangers do occasionally check coolers, more so on the weekends.

Another good day at Gunnison today. Water temp was 74. Hope to see you there.

Went to Gunnison yesterday. The traffic was a nightmare. What usually takes an hour to get there took 3 hours. The jam up was everyone going and paying for parking. This beach has gotten more popular then years before.

I went Tuesday. The extra long blue mats are definitely welcomed. Out to the end of the dunes too. Lots of traffic on Tuesday too, around 11:00 AM. On the downside, fee collection has also resumed.

Guess we need to plan better to get there sooner if we don't want to wait in as long of a line...
