Black Nudists

for those who loves their body regardless of colour or race

Why are we dividing nudists on this site? Nudists have always been very accepting of all people, regardless of sex, gender, race, ethnicity, orientation or body shape and size. This does nothing but segregate people and put us all back 100 years.

I appreciate that you feel this way, and it might seem it, but as a resesarcher, and as someone with organizational experience, I can tell you that Nudism has deep roots in white supremacy and there were no Black nudists before WWII (or a tiny number) because of segregation, policy, and the inadmissibility of Black people to much of European and North American cultural institutions. Segregation ended in the US in the late 1960's,. that's 50 years ago. The BBC was still airing Black and White Review in the late 80's (notable for excessive minstrelcy) and Belgium had a human zoo until the 1960's with no white people but African people. The segregation is overwhelmingly not Black people's doing. YOU are obviously accepting and I am sure the folks you know are, but...I can tell you having run an organization of 450 that homophobia misogyny racism transphobia and fatphobia were problems I had to deal with regularly. I made much progress but in two years we added maybe 15 Black members. I took the time to find out why by asking my colleagues and contacts and they straight up said that racism is the biggest factor in reticence and hard sell. I choose to believe that, and think regarless it was my job to make a space that was truly welcoming, and I did the best I could, but in the end. perhaps not my job, perhaps I was too ambitious, but I also know that everywhere I have worked or been a member of a social group, women, gay people, and Black people for example have needed and made separate spaces to get away from the oppression you may not see if you dont experience it directly. I love the ideal you shared, and I think its a really important one, but respectfully, its not the way the world is for most of us, but I hope it is for you.
