Probably. The rest of us don't give it a thought.

There are all kinds of intelligence, and not just limited to people, or the ability to do maths, speak with extra large words, or develop fusion reactors in your basement (though that would be a real help to the planet). My dog is intelligent. Even plants (yes, plants. Mature Douglas Firs communicate with their offspring through the networks of mycelium (the stuff that fruits mushrooms) and know theirs from the others. They send them water out of the trunk through the roots when they are dry, and then feed them through the mycelium when they are hungry). I've met literate people who were dullards and boors, and people who neither read nor wrote who were nonetheless enchantingly smart.

Not everyone is here for what you might think of as "intelligent" conversation. Not everyone concurs with what kind of exchange is smart. I find the more open I am to listening to people and the more caring I am in helping them feel accepted and respected, the more they feel free in being themselves and sharing the unique things that make them who they are, and I admit readily I don't know it all, far from it, and each person can teach me something new.
